Dec. 17, 08 Ice interesting

Another cold day getting used to it.
The ice on chains from the homes has frozen, this way when it does melt the water drains to special places around the house. It amazes me the difference from State to State. Bob's truck has never see this kind of snow even when we would go up to the mountains in CA.
Note my my helper first day day of snow she wanted out and found papa' shovel and had a ball, it is a game to the children here in OR.
We have winter warning for more snow the next 24 hours and I am hoping I can make it to the Rubber stamper Christmas party tomorrow it is only 6 miles from here.
Finishing Christmas card today boy am I behind.
Great phone call from Jerri Sue today made my day.

Dec, 15th 2008 COLD!!!!!!

Great day today. After shoveling snow last night I made quick decision and wanted to hire the neighbor to do the shoveling for me. He won't let me pay him but we negotiated and I will make then a batch of cinn rolls and Molly gets Michelle's magazines. I am told this was a strange storm for us to get this much snow on the east side. Jack also came out and spread the de-icer stuff.
So will see. I have been out driving, mailed out the Christmas cards today, just have to take it slow. When I got up it was -13 yep really that cold and right now at 7:30 is is -3 and will get colder because the sky is clear.
Made Bob a batch of chili and he was happy.
So off to watch a bit of TV with Bob and stay warm. the snow is beautiful and I am so glad we moved here.

Dec 15, 2008 & degrees and SNOW

I am back, boy didn't realize it had been this long I did get a new printer so will try loading pics today. And I am snowed in it is past noon and the temp is 7 degree's that is not a typo/
I must say I stayed awake last night to watch the snow till around 2 am, but it was so pretty coming down now I am sure that in a few weeks I won't be enjoying it as much. Worked on Christmas cards but doubt that I will get them out today tomorrow is supposed to be 14 so maybe will try it then.
We need outside Christmas decorations since the neighborhood does decorate but will get them after Christmas for next year. Last night the neighbor was decorating his deck in the backyard he only waited till the coldest day we have had. On Sat when the snow first started Mia was jumping up and down lets go play and is there enough for sledding. So I took her out for a bit and then she spied papa's new shovel and she had a ball. Michelle had her first snow day today the teachers made it but they couldn't get the buses started so the kids stayed home. Michelle take Mia since they are at the same school and so imagine Mia is doing art and watching dvd's.
I made cinn rolls on Sat and with the altitude here the roll came out much lighter and tasted wonderful.
I have bee nto one Christmas party in Redmond with stampers and it was wonderful a pot luck and lots of fun. This week weather permitting I have a party with the Bend stampers on Thursday with 5 dollar gift exchange and cookie exchange, Jo lives down the road if I can remember the turns.
Bob is doing fine and has no notion of going out today.
So I am back.
